Andre Casa Mbungo has resigned as coach of Kenyan side AFC Leopards, according to reports.

Mbungo appears to have been a victim of the club’s cash-crunch that has crippled the team since the exit from the country of sponsor SportPesa.

The final straw appears to be a 0-0 draw with KCB on Thursday that leaves the team in eighth position on the table with just four wins from 12 league games this season.

Rwandan national Mbungo leaves the club after players such as striker Ismailia Diarra, defender Soter Kayumba, and midfielders Tresor Ndikumana and Vincent Habamahoro, who have all departed in recent times.
