Goals are on the cards when the likes of Reiss Nelson and Thorgan Hazard take to the field for free-scoring Hoffenheim’s meeting with second-placed Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (kick-off: 3.30pm CET/ 2.30pm GMT/ 9.30am ET).

Hoffenheim extended their unbeaten run to seven Bundesliga matches after coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Wolfsburg on Matchday 14. Andrej Kramaric was on target for the fourth successive game, and now sits level with Arsenal loanee Nelson as Hoffenheim’s top Bundesliga scorer this season on six goals. The duo have only started a game together three times in the Bundesliga, however, but that could change on the back of the midweek UEFA Champions League trip to Manchester City. Midfielder Kerem Demirbay and striker Adam Szalai are also vying for starts after missing the Manchester trip with minor injuries. Defender Havard Nordtveit and winger Lukas Rupp are definitely out.

Hoffenheim have scored at least once in every league game so far this season (30 in total), but they’re still not quite as prolific as 33-goal Gladbach. The Foals put three second-half efforts past VfB Stuttgart last weekend, with veteran forward Raffael back among the goals and young midfielder Florian Neuhaus opening his account after being left out of the starting line-up. The 21-year-old is set to return for the trip to Sinsheim, though, with Denis Zakaria unavailable through suspension. Defender Matthias Ginter remains on the sidelines, while Ibrahima Traore and Fabian Johnson are vying for the injured Jonas Hofmann’s spot in midfield. Raffael will likely have to make do with a place on the bench as Gladbach look to close the gap on leaders Borussia Dortmund, temporarily at least, to four points.
